Dancing With the Stars: Week Ten

by Cheryl Burke May 14, 2009 8:44 AM

We did it! We made it to the finals. I'm so proud of Gilles and how far he's come this season. He does everything with such hard work and determination that it is an honor to be his dance teacher. I've heard people saying that he's the frontrunner in this competition but I know that's not how he feels which is why we work so hard every week to make each dance as perfect as possible.

Dancing With the Stars: Week Eight

We made it through another week. At this point any one of us could be the one's going home and of all the season's I've been on I think this is the season that's hardest to predict. It's nerve wracking to say the least!

Dancing With the Stars: Week Four

The first perfect score of the season! Wow what an honor. But that means we have a lot more pressure on our shoulders to make sure each dance is better than the last one we performed.

Coaching Gilles is so much fun -- he really learns each dance from scratch each week. He wasn't kidding when he said he was my nightmare on Wednesdays! If you could see him on Wednesday and Thursday -- its nothing like what we do on Monday's during the show. The transformation is amazing to watch but it's also a little challenging! But he's a joy to be around that I quickly forget all the frustrations of making Gilles as perfect as possible.

Dancing With the Stars: The Season Premiere

I'm so proud of Gilles. How amazing was he Monday night? That was the best cha cha he's ever done - the crowd really got him going and all his nerves melted away. I think we can safely assume that Gilles fans are supporting him 100 percent, and that cha cha just netted him some new fans as well.

This is my seventh season on the show and each premiere night is just as exciting as the previous one. It never gets old for me. I still get nervous each and every show -- nervous for my partner. I just want them to do so well and to get comments that are constructive and not too crushing to their egos. This must be what having children feels like!
