In his first year on the air, Jimmy Fallon has unsuccessfully tried to reunite the cast of Saved By the Bell, settling instead for some great appearances by its former stars - albeit individually. However, much to his credit, he did manage to get the entire original cast of California Dreams to be on his show this week and sing their catchy theme song. Since some of those SBtB divas are still holding out, here are some other cheesy nostalgic teen shows from the '90s that we'd like to see get back together on Jimmy's show.
Hey Dude
This half-hour show aired on Nickelodeon in the late '80s and into the '90s, so it counts for our purposes. The cast included Mrs. Ben Stiller (Christine Taylor) and a pre-Sabrina David Lascher, featured your typical teen scenarios (dating, crushes, jobs) and took place entirely at a horse ranch. If nothing else, we miss Brad and would really like to see her again.
Clarissa Explains It All
We all know what Melissa Joan Hart has been up to, but what about Sam? He was climbing into his opposite-gendered best friend's window long before Joey Potter did it. And we'd like to see annoying little brother Ferguson again, too! The parents... eh, not a requirement.
Kenan & Kel
It should be so easy to do this one. All Jimmy would have to do is walk downstairs and grab Kenan and then have him figure out where Kel has been hiding himself. Throw them in some Good Burger uniforms and we'd be happy.
Fifteen
Admittedly, getting the cast of this Canadian soap (also known as Hillside) back together might be a bit of a challenge, since it was a huge cast. But aside from Laura Harris (who has been a regular on Dead Like Me, 24 and Women's Murder Club) and Ryan Reynolds (who is known for Van Wilder and his highly toned stomach muscles), the rest haven't been quite as visible in the past two decades. Let's get them together and have them reenact some highly emotional scenes about alcohol abuse! It's all we've got since the show isn't on DVD.
Hang Time
Part of the TNBC Saturday morning lineup, this was one of those ridiculous shows about high school sports, with the twist being that a girl was on the boy's basketball team. The acting was overdone, the plots predictable, and yet we'd still like to get a look at the original cast... although Anthony Anderson and Jay Rodriquez joined later on, so if either of them wanted to drop by we wouldn't object.
Adventures of Pete & Pete
Again, it's only two people that we care about, so it shouldn't be a challenge for Fallon, and we'd be a little overwhelmed with nostalgia to see the two same-named brothers back together again.
We can, however, live without reunions of the other TNBC shows -- One World, All About Us or City Guys -- but if you've got other suggestions, leave 'em in the comments.
And if you missed the California Dreams reunion, check it out below.

Salute Your Shorts. I wanna know what happened to donkey lips and ugh.
And Swan's Crossing.
I agree with Salute Your Shorts. Also, does anyone remember Welcome Freshmen?
The ORIGINAL cast of All That. YES.
Pete and Pete rocked! Very cool theme song too.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnqeeBdGhh4
I remember Welcome Freshman! That show was so werid because they changed the format mid show!
They did have a music video a few years back with Big Pete, Ferguson, Bobby Budnick, & Marc Summers. Ferguson is completely bald now!
Isn't Dylan from Fifteen on Vampire Diaries? He's the nephew who lives with Stefan.(I've only seen the first 4 episodes so far, so I'm not sure if he's still on it.)
The sad thing is that after not thinking about that show for 15 years I remembered every word of the theme song. I am so ashamed.
Also, Heidi Lenart is Haim Saban's step-daughter, which is why she's only ever in Saban productions and is pretty much the only reason why she has a career. I don't know why I know that.
Salute your Shorts for sure! I miss Pinsky and Teddy... :)
Seriously though, this post is amazing. Jimmy Fallon, we're counting on you to make it happen. I would die for a Clarissa Explains It All and Hey Dude! reunion.
The original Power Rangers!
What about The Secret World of Alex Mack?
i saw Little Pete in NYC this summer... he's an underground musician.
Student Bodies (1997-1999) - about an artist and his friends working at the school paper.
I have to second both Hey Dude and Salute Your Shorts. I'd also want to see a Roundhouse reunion!! (Does anyone remember this show besides me??)
I loved Student Bodies!!!
Zimbler's bald now?? Granted, it's been a dozen years since I saw him, but that's...funny.
I remember Roundhouse! "Going to the Roundhouse!"
"He was climbing into his opposite-gendered best friend's window long before Joey Potter did it." This sentance has made my life better. Thank-you.
I would be compeltely happy if any of these shows recieved reunions. I remember Roundhouse, too. But, I would want a Peet and Peet and a Salute Your Shorts reunion before that.
The Secret World of Alex Mack...yes. And, I second whoever said the original cast of All That. Basically, I'm down with any reunion of of TNBC or Nick shows!
This simultaneously makes me laugh and makes me feel really embarrassed on the behalf of these actors. On the other hand, Brent Gore kind of looks like Peter Krause, so he has that going for him.
Pete & Pete would seriously make me so happy. Bring it on! I miss that show...
Wow, I totally thought I was the only person who remembered "Fifteen." Any time I think about Ryan Reynolds, I immediately mention that show. (And speaking of Canadian teen drama, I could write a thesis on the parallels between Fifteen and Degrassi: TNG.)
HOw about Bug Juice...I loved that show!
I for one, would love a City Guys reunion. It was my favorite of the TNBC lineup and I still know all of the words to the theme song.
Loved the California Dreams thing though. I think its great that they did it and I knew the words to that one as well.
Original cast of all that is a MUST, but if you do a Pete & Pete Reunion, you'd have to have Artie, the Strongest Man in the WORLD!
A million times yes to a Roundhouse reunion. And thumbs up to Alex Mack and Clarissa as well.
In Living Color--that would be
AWSOME. Hommie don't play that and Fire Marshal Bill. That show was the shiz!!!
I was totally thinking of student bodies when I started reading this!
and alex mac! and city guys! i'm sure there are more: my so called life? blossom? doogie howser?
the torkelsons - rip brittany murphy for the later episodes.
Kids Incorporated!
Are you afraid of the dark?
I agree with Cat. I would love to see The secret world of Alex mac, as well as Are you afraid of the dark and Punky Brewster.
I never watch TV anymore. I would watch it however if the remade Alex Mac, Punky Brewster and Are you afraid of the dark. & clarissa explains it all.
Salute Your Shorts
and
Pete and Pete!!!
His character was killed by Damon.
Parker Lewis can't Lose
I remember Hey Dude, Pete and Pete...what about Flash Forward on Disney...anyone remember that?
(It had the great Ben Foster in it.)
This is a really low-aiming list. Show me Step by Step and Family Matters -- and go find that Judy girl who was written out of the series with no explanation.
How about Eerine Indiana? Remember that show??
I cannot belive other people remember and love Fifteen! My BFF and I used to watch it religiously. My dad would never admit it, but he watched it with us!
flash forward also had ryan gosling! loved that show!
Yeah.....kel has been dead for a few years. That's where he's been hiding.
I'd love to see a Guys Next Door reunion, and have them sing "Bad Hair Day" again.
Wasn't Donkey Lips on that commercial where he charged up a car battery with his INCREDIBLE dancin? HAHA
he is not dead it was a hoax
Breaker High! That also had Ryan Gosling.
How about "You Cant Do That On Television" on Nickelodeon. It was Saturday Night Live for kids and has famous alumni like Alanis Morisette. And WAM! from Encore Networks had alot of funny kid shows that I would be curious to se what they are doing now.
Jaimee Foxworth, the actress who played Judy, went on to a few porn roles then appeared on Celebrity Rehab.
I wish I'd heard about the California Dreams reunion. Other than Kelly Pickard, I hadn't seen anyone from that show since.
Sweet Valley High. It was a big cast, but we only really cared about the twins, season 1-2 Lila, Enid, Season 1-2 Todd, and Winston. It'd be great.
i'm all for roundhouse and are you afraid of the dark... does anyone remember shelby woo?
The dad from "Clarissa Explains It All" is recurring on "Mad Men" as Trudy's father.
Why is it funny that someone lost his hair? I hope you lose your hair so that people can laugh at you.
Remember "Fudge" ?
The Mom from Clarissa Explains It All was my acting teacher 2 summers ago in NYC. I was a bit freaked out when I walked into class the first day and saw her. She has become one of those deep dark dramatic stage actors. Shouldn't be hard to get her on Fallon though!
I can only think 80's.
"Out of this world."
"Small Wonder"
None of watched Ghost Writer?! That my shit back in the day. Besides the guy who played Alex that showed up on the Real World: Philadelphia, I haven't seen any of the other ones.
Co-sign the original cast of All That and Fifteen.
I wouldn't mind a reunion of the 90's cast of Kids Inc. I loved that show, too. and the cast of Sweet Valley High.
everytime I think of fifteen it makes me smile! Such a guilty pleasure when I was a kid! The blonde girl, forget her name that was the gf of the alchy basketball player, was in the Suicide Kings. And the mean girl, I forget her name, posted on youtube that she is a nurse or some other professional happily married with kids!
I agree with all the shows listed but am I the only one who watched sister, sister?
Bring back the original cast of "You can't do that on Television". Christine, Lisa, Alistair, etc... and dig up Barf if you can.
I'd love to see a reunion of "You Can't Do that On Television" too. Sadly, Les Lye, the actor who played Barth, died in July 2009. (I think everyone else is still alive & kicking.)
Thank God I'm not the only one who remembers Guys Next Door! "Bobby Can't Dance"
He actually played Hector. I watched that show religiously!
I'm probably the only one here that remembers "Space Cases" - cool show, but was too "smart" for Nickelodeon's PTB at the time.
I remember Roundhouse from my son watching it. It was an excellent show!
What about "You Can't Do That On Television"? That show was awesome.
OMG boy meets world and growing pains T.T sooo goood
I remeber shows like Eerie Indiana, Indiana Jones the TV series, The side show of the coach Lubick from Growing Pains when he went on his own with his family somewhere else (i can not remember the name right now) There are many more we could just name.
Trini(original yellow ranger) is dead
GhostWriter!!! While some of those cast members have disappeared, you probably still hear Blaze Berdahl (Lenni) everyday and dont realize it. She's the voice over person for the Swiffer commercials and a bunch of other commercials too!
I would love a reunion of this show! Oh, and, BTW Season 1 of the show will be on DVD in June! Check it out on Amazon!
Also, All That, Salute Your Shorts, Hey Dude, and Kenan and Kel FTW!
I do! It used to be my favorite part of the SNICK lineup. LOVED it. I don't watch Jimmy Fallon much, but I would watch for most of these reunions
"Just the 10 of us"
Sisters
The jersey
I want to see a Babysitter's Club reunion, I loved that show as much as I loved the books!
I loved Space Cases! although I stopped watching the show when the invisable friend became part of the permanent cast. Would love to see a reunion
I would love to see Boy Meets World, the orginal cast of All That, The Secret Life Of Alex Mack, and My Brother and Me.
I would love to see Boy Meets World, the orginal cast of All That, The Secret Life Of Alex Mack, and My Brother and Me.
As soon as they started singing, I remembered all the words too.
@ Jim Dude, remember the dance called "The Swan's Crossing Line?"
@ Jim Dude, remember the dance called "The Swan's Crossing Line?"
What a gem! It's a real shame more people haven't heard about this place, this article covered just the thing I needed today.
Thumbs-up approval to everyone who said Boy Meets World, You Can't Do That On Television and Out of This World. I could also handle My Secret Identity, Superboy, Small Wonder
Thumbs-up approval to everyone who said Boy Meets World, You Can't Do That On Television and Out of This World. I could also handle My Secret Identity, Superboy, Small Wonder
Boy! Meets! World!
I would love to see the original cast of power rangers back together! Also definately Boy Meets World, Step by Step, and Growing Pains!
I loved Swan's Crossing. Sarah Michelle Gellar was awesome even back then!
I loved Swan's Crossing. Sarah Michelle Gellar was awesome even back then!
I agree with all of the show suggestions, especiall all of the TNBC and Nick shows...or even a Full House or Perfect Strangers reunion as well...I don't know about the rest of the cast from Out of This World but I do know you can see Steve Burton every weekday as rich kid turned mob enforcer Jason Morgan on General Hospital
so forgot about small wonders and out of this world !!!!!
Flash Forward, So Weird ,and step by step would make me very happy. But I did always watch boy meets world and home improvement as well so that would be great.
BOY MEETS WORLD!!!!
And my secret identity!
hell ya! The Secret World of Alex Mack was my absolute favorite!. Oh and how about some Cory/Tapanga action? Boy meets world was great too!
not goofy but how about the original Midnight Society aka Are You Afraid of the Dark? this show scared the crap out of me when i was a kid
not goofy but how about the original Midnight Society aka Are You Afraid of the Dark? this show scared the crap out of me when i was a kid
Man, you just made my day! I will definitely be checking for GhostWriter on DVD, I HAVE to buy that. That is one of my favorite shows ever. I didn't know Blaze Berdahl did the voiceovers for the Swifter commercials, now I will never look those the same. I'm just glad they are FINALLY putting this show on DVD.
i remember the awful waffle!!! how bout boy meets world, wonder years, you cant do that on television, family matters, step by step...
...perfect strangers, eerie indiana, brisco county jr., blossom, alf, mr belvedere, hangin with mr cooper...
what about you cant do that on television
I would love a Hang Time reunion. I loved that show. It would be great if that was on DVD.
I remember all these shows that everyone is talknig about, because when 1990 rolled around, I was a 12 yr old pre-teen boy that used to love to watch t.v. T.V was better back then, because there was no internet yet, and when the internet did arive it sucked. Anyways watching that video clip of the "California Dreams",and reqading all these comments made me hella sad. I miss the 90's so much, but if I had the chance to go back and do it all over again, I wouldn't. The reason being, I am very happy with my life now, and just like the 90's, I wouldn't trade that in for ANYTHING!!! P.S, does anyone remember "Funhouse" w/ host J.T.Ross?
Yes, Peete and Pete! I have both seasons on DVD and still love it! Artie would have to be at the reunion too! Also definitely Salute Your Shorts and maybe Roundhouse? Anyone remember that music/sketch show on Nick in the early 90's? Also the ORIGINAL cast of All That. Nickelodeon had the best shows back them!
also Boy Meets World and Are You Afraid of the Dark
I fully agree on Space Cases. Absolutely bring it back!
And from Salute Your Shorts, Ugh was later 7 of 9's dad in Star Trek Voyager. They turned him into a Borg.
The original power rangers would be hard since the red ranger is doing time for murder.
I'll agree with whoever said
-Ghostwriter
-Sister, Sister
-Boy Meets World
-All That (original cast...although they did reunite for a 10 year anniversary once. Obviously, I missed it :( )
OMG I fogot all about Kids Incorporated. My brother and I used to watch that show whenever we could.
OMG I fogot all about Kids Incorporated. My brother and I used to watch that show whenever we could.
Yes Yes Yes!!! You can't do that on television was THE best. There are tons of clips on youtube. My husband and I watched about 2 hours of the clips a couple months ago to show my 21 y/o brother what it was. lol so much fun and the original green slime.
I loved watching So Weird, with Mackenzie Phillips - cool show!
Ghostwriter!!!I loved that show.Bill Nye the Science Guy!I watched his show for my school assignments.Punky Brewster,I used to try to wear different color socks to school in kindergarten because of her.Of course my "proper" mother would'nt allow it>hag lol's
OMG! I can't forget.As a kid I only had 3 real joys on saturdays.
1.no school that day
2.my siblings and I got to eat pizza that night
3.the show "ALL THAT" came on and it was my favorite saturday show.
I used to look forward to T.G.I.F also,Family matters,Step by Step, the show with Mary Kate and Ashley and there was another show too...I forgot the name of it.
COACH and CHEERS were good shows too.
Anybody remember the show "GUTS"
One of the hosts of the show was Mike O'Malley.I know i've seen him in an acting role somewhere but I can't figure it out.
http://www.bing.com/videos/watch/video/nickelodeon-guts-daniel-david-nikki-part-1/5ad51bcb35a92ec289b95ad51bcb35a92ec289b9-1757458465842
Boy Meet World!
ALL THAT!
Bring All That back for a reunion.
I grew up with that show in the 90's.
Oh wow it would be awesome to have a Hey Dude reunion. I miss the 90's. So many memories!
Great memories!! All those shows were soooo good! The Secret World of Alex Mack was a favorite for sure Thanks guys!
Ok I SO remember Roundhouse! Sadly I can remember lyrics to songs they sang. Including...what did you want with me in the first place? Why did you take me down from the shelf? Is that nerdy enough for you? lol
loved Parker Lewis, I still find my self quoting things like "eat now", and "not a problem". That would be great.
Fifteen is what ryan reynolds first appeared in go check it out on youtube CLASSIC!!!
dude are you afraid of the dark, awesome, all that, original cast, and so weird amongst others I saw. What happened to good t.v.
Fifteen is what ryan reynolds first appeared in go check it out on youtube CLASSIC!!!

Kel is alive and well. What about Family Matters, Sister Sister.
What about Wild&Crazy Kids with Omar gooding and Don Jeffcoat?
Donkey Lips, I forget his name now has been in My Name is Earl, Remember the Titans, and Blow.
Donkey Lips, I forget his name now has been in My Name is Earl, Remember the Titans, and Blow.
i remember the pee monkeys skit from roundhouse
Three Words: Guys Next Door
Camp Anawanna, we hold you in our hearts; and when we think about you, it makes me wanna...
I don't think she'll be hard to find, she was on celebrity rehab with Dr. Drew. Unfortunately, she became a porn star drug addict.
I swear I thought everyone forgot about Ghost Writer!! You get 10 cool points.
Boy Meets World
All That original cast
Clarissa Explains It All
Ghostwriter
Figure It Out
Fast Forward
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers (sadly the original Yellow Ranger died)
Those were my favorite shows as a kid. I would kill to see a reunion of any of these.
I would love to see the cast of Boy Meet's world. I MISS MR. FEENEY, and Eric's Feeney call!
Maybe the cast of the 90's Spider-man Series.
You also forgot the orginal cast of the MMC. I miss the mickey mouse club. and Adventures in wonderland! and, i miss classic disney,MMPR,etc. I agree with yeah!
Blossom! I loved California Dreams. And Ghost Writer. I know it was from the 90's but what I wouldn't give for a reunion of My So Called Life.
I would vote for "You Can't Do That On Television" (yes I know, not from the 90's), but you would NEVER get Alanis Morissette to do it.
I JUST LOVE SAVED BY THE BELL, FAMILY MATTERS, GROWING PAINS, STEP BY STEP, CALAFRONIA DREAMS, FLASH FORWORD AND CLARISSA EXPLAINS IT ALL. I WOULD ALSO WANT WHO'S THE BOSS, THE FACTS OF LIFE. TO BE PART OF TEEN NICK.
Boy Meets World should have been number one on the list!
i loved shelby woo!!
The OG yellow ranger died in a car accident.=(
and OMG they so gotta do ALEX MACK and i know its a movie but how about THE WIZARD reunion
I would liked to suggest:
1. Just the Ten of Us
2. Perfect Strangers
... and I could come up with so many more....
Space cases rocked! I can still sing the theme song(both seasons slightly different versions)
I'm completely on board for original All That-Lori Beth was hilarious. Would also love to see Hey Dude, Salute your Shorts and Family Matters.
I will go for a hey dude and salute your shorts reunion NE day!
Does anyone remember Sweet Valley High? Loved it!!
Who remembers the game show What Would You Do (the Pie machine roller coaster)
Me too. Can't believe it's been 20 years. I loved it as well. Went onto iTunes and found out season 1 is there. And a website, fifteentheseries.com. Looks official. Check it out.
I think so. Chris Martin is the actor. There is a clip of him in fifteen on a fb fan page, facebook.com/fifteentheseries
YES! I expect most people don't remember it because it didn't really have a plot, just random skits. I always enjoyed the dad character who loved his easy chair and remote control.
I love the 90's old school nickelodeon episodes online. you forgot the ">salute your shorts tv show that was on around the same time Hey Dude was on also. Brings back memories watching these shows.
Anyone remember USA High? I loved that show!
Yea I would love to see all these again. Some I didn't watch but I'm up for the reunions. Wow somebody remembered USA HIGH. Cool
YES PLEASE. I frigging loved Student Bodies.
Does anyone remember USA High? it was on the USA network sometime in the mid-to-late 90s. It was very SBTB-esque.

Very valid, pithy, scuccnit, and on point. WD.
AKAIK you've got the anwser in one!
This might be this blog's greatest article to date!
You Can't Do That On Television. 'Nuff said.
I strictly recommend not to wait until you earn enough money to order different goods! You can just get the credit loans or just auto loan and feel yourself comfortable
