Toni Collette: Tara Gregson herself has actually just landed a starring role in Jerry Bruckheimer's upcoming CBS drama Hostages where she'll play a surgeon based in Washington, D.C. who finds herself stuck in the middle of a conspiracy after she gets chosen to operate on the President of the United States, which is exactly the kind of crap Buck would be interested in pontificating about. Collette's also been in a few movies since 2011, most notably in a supporting role in Hitchcock.

John Corbett: No longer having fantasies of going postal on everyone around him, Corbett's biggest accomplishment since the end of Tara was his fine work on Parenthood as Seth Holt, an struggling mostly absent alcoholic ex-husband to Lauren Graham's character and the father to her two kids. His role as Seth is a little less interesting than Max Gregson's was, but on the bright side, it's way better than anything he ever had to do on Sex and the City and objectively less humiliating than his recent stint of doing voice-over ads for Applebee's and Walgreen's. Weirdly enough, actually, he's going on tour as a country artist starting in February, a fact I have particular troubling wrapping my head around.

Brie Larson: Going the inverse route of her TV dad, the former Kate Gregson is most certainly not making embarrassing music videos these days (seriously, watching that gave me a "Let's Go to the Mall" flashback) and has instead seem to fallen in line as a comedy actress, which I presume must have started with her excellent performance in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Since then, she's been pretty hilarious on The League (where I'm sure the guys would have gone crazy if she sat on a birthday cake) and had a fun role in 21 Jump Street. She's also guest starred on NTSF:SD:SUV, leading me to believe she's got a cult comedy following in the works.

Keir Gilchrist: When we talk about pioneering gay and queer characters on TV, it's an oversight to forget about Marshall Gregson, a kid we saw explore his sexuality and make the difficult decision to be out in high school, and yet Gilchrist hasn't gotten very much work since 2011. He'll be on an upcoming episode of Adult Swim's Newsreaders, so maybe his TV sister is hooking him up with her new friends (or enough people finally got around to seeing It's Kind of a Funny Story).

Rosemarie DeWitt: Tara's sister Char's actually had a few sizable roles in movies these past 18 months, but in terms of TV, the only credits she has are a few upcoming episodes on The Newsroom, though she's already mysteriously bowed out on because of "scheduling conflicts." That, or just really good taste. Either way.

Patton Oswalt: Oswalt obviously had a strong dark comedy career before he was lovable loser Neil Kowalski, but my personal favorite roles he's had since the show's demise was his heartbreaking part as an even sadder version of Neil in 2011's Young Adult and guest stints as an internet commenter in Portlandia and a lovable Constable in Justified. He'll actually also be in an upcoming episode of The Newsroom, hopefully to whisk his blushing bride away from the News Night gang of misfits. Oh, and he's a bit of an animal activist, in case he wasn't already ridiculously loveable.

Nathan Corddry: Now that Tara and Harry's Law have wrapped, Corddry (who you'll remember played Kate's creepy manager/admirer), you can still hear his voice in the animated TRON: Uprising series and watch him for like ten minutes in the most recent episode of New Girl as yet another eerie young man and occasionally see him on Children's Hospital.

Zosia Mamet: You remember Marshall's best friend and one-time girlfriend Courtney, right? These days she's stealing scenes from Lena Dunham on Girls and awesomely hitting on Peggy in Mad Men. She was on Parenthood for a bit, too.

Michael J. Willett: Lionel may be in Heaven, but Willett hasn't been doing much despite how great he was with Marshall. Apparently he's playing music (or so his Twitter profile says) and will have a role in the upcoming comedy movie G.B.F., so at least there's that.

Frances Conroy : You don't need me to tell you how famous Conroy is, but by far her best role since playing Max's Tara-hating mother was her time as evil inmate Moira O'Hara and the Angel of Death on American Horror Story: Asylum. Watching her was like it was Christmas every day.
