A new HBO show, very little other scripted fare, and what to watch instead of the State Of The Union.
Bartlet-A-Thon: A mini-marathon of noteworthy The West Wing episodes focusing on the reelection campaign show up on Bravo today. If you like caricatures and James Brolin, this is going to be right up your alley. (Bravo, 9 AM)

Old News: I'm not even sure I knew that Frank Sinatra, Jr. was kidnapped in 1963 and actually ransomed, but if American Justice says it, it must be true. (A&E, 10 AM)

Title Only: 20 Acts Of Love Gone Wrong. (E!, 10 AM)

Crazy Celebrity Engaging In Alleged Acting Alert: Sometimes, when she's not busy getting arrested or adjusting her court-monitoring bracelet, Lindsay Lohan dabbles in acting, as she did in the famous/infamous/who-caresy feature Just My Luck. This, of course, was before it became clear that (1) luck was not her problem; and (2) her luck was not going to change. (HBO Signature, 10:30)

Not Brown, The Other One: I'm convinced that Home Improvement is the new Friends, by which I mean that syndication seems to have an almost unlimited appetite for giant blocks of it. Today, check out an episode in which one of the boys picks up a girlfriend -- notable because, if you enjoy Go Fug Yourself, you will notice that she is played by a Peldon. (TBS, 12:30)

I Really Wrote This Blurb: If you're enjoying the journalism story over on The Wire, you might be interested in Shattered Glass, wherein Hayden Christensen demonstrated that he is not just Star Wars material. (IFC, 6:45 PM)

Guilty Pleasure Or Pain?: We are well and truly running out of scripted shows now, with the small spitting out of post-holiday episodes mostly over. Take a moment and appreciate the fact that this set of circumstances leads you directly into the eager jaws of American Gladiators. (NBC, 8 PM)

Someone Wore Feathers, Probably: Want to know what everyone wore to the SAG Awards? Check out E!'s Fashion Police. (E!, 8 PM)

Alternatives: If you're not really up to trying to take the nation's temperature by watching the State Of The Union address, you have options: a crystal meth addict on Intervention (A&E); The Matrix, beginning at 8 PM (AMC); a special on the Patriots (CNBC); an examination of Winnebago factories (oh, you heard me) (National Geographic); the always-controversial Jon & Kate Plus 8 (TLC). (9 PM)

How Does This Make You Feel?: HBO debuts In Treatment, its five-night-a-week (!) drama focusing on a therapist's various patients. I'm not sure how much more of HBO's passion for therapy I can take, but let's see where this is headed. (HBO, 9:30 PM)

If I Don't Get A Car, It Will Ruin My Birthday: Brand new episodes of My Super Sweet 16 premiere tonight, and all I can tell you about this show is that I have a friend with whom I often discuss bad television I've seen, and he recently put his foot down and refused to even listen in jest to what happened on My Super Sweet 16. It's extra-special bad, and even people who haven't seen it know it. But that doesn't mean it isn't also secretly kind of great for the purpose of making you feel good about yourself. (MTV, 11:00/11:30 PM)
