Supernanny, Brandon Walsh, and others have big days after the jump.
Imagine Too Much Information: American Justice takes a close look at the assassination of John Lennon, including interviews with Lennon's doctors. Ew. (A&E, 10 AM)
Marcia, Marcia, Marcia: Over on The Brady Bunch, it's the "women's lib" episode, in which Marcia decides she wants to be a Boy Scout (essentially), and we all learn that it's just a crazy, crazy idea. Sure, girls could do anything boys do, but why would they do that when they have so many fashion magazines to read? I have always really enjoyed the peculiarly grotesque implication of this particular take on sexism, in which we learn that the reason you don't see women in more positions of authority isn't ability -- it's lack of interest. (TV Land, 11 AM)
Suds-tastic!: Any episode of Melrose Place that is described to include "Kimberly makes trouble for Michael"? That's worth watching. (SoapNet, 12 PM)
Channing, Fleeting: The most interesting thing, to me, about the movie Step Up is that I saw it and remember absolutely nothing about it. Not one thing. When I read in the description that Heavy D plays "the owner of a chop shop," I was like...is that true? Does that movie have a chop shop? Isn't it about dancing? Heavy D? Really? (Encore, 12:20 PM)
Title Envy: For me, the best reason to work at Animal Planet would be writing titles of shows. Like, "Let's make a show about boa constrictors. We'll call it The Big Squeeze!" (Animal Planet, 1 PM)
How Not To Try To Break A Window: Things are unbelievably depressing in Walnut Grove again, where the school for blind children burns down and kills some people. If you didn't have memories of cute little Melissa Gilbert as a six-year-old, you would think of this as Hieronymus Bosch On The Prairie, I swear to God. (Hallmark, 3 PM)
Pilot Alert: As promised yesterday, Beverly Hills, 90210 rolls back around to the pilot today. You will recall that there is no Dylan, just Brandon dating the easy-peasy girl and learning that it's hard out there for a pimp. (SoapNet, 5 PM)
Getting Your Ya-Yas From Ikea: For my money, "The One With All The Poker" is one of the episodes that absolutely put Friends on the map and convinced me that I was going to be in love with it. Which, back then, I totally was. (TBS, 6 PM)
Abracadabra: I generally think Wife Swap is pretty idiotic, but sometimes, I can't resist the gimmickry, including tonight's episode, where an uptight micromanager trades households with -- wait for it -- a magician's wife. Not just any frivolous person, but a magician's wife. (ABC, 8 PM)
Sucker Bet: Hey, what do you think are the odds that someone on tonight's American Idol auditions will sing with a funny accent? (Fox, 8 PM)
Wink! Merv! DAWSON!: Tonight's final installment of PBS's Pioneers Of Television series focuses on game shows. Ooh, that might be good, actually. (PBS, 8 PM)
Blech: Unless you've been under a rock for the last few weeks, you've seen the commercials for Moment Of Truth, in which people are hooked up to lie detectors (so reliable they're inadmissible everywhere!) and asked if they think fat people are disgusting and whether they're hot for people other than their spouses. Doesn't that sound awesome? Haven't you always wanted this show, and just now, you're finally getting it? Aren't you glad? All that AND it's hosted by Mark L. Walberg of Temptation Island! (Fox, 9 PM)
There You Go, Darling: I love Supernanny. There, I said it. I love the naughty step, I love the bedtime rituals, I love the family schedule, I love the whole thing. I love Supernanny. (ABC, 9 PM)
Blah, Blah, Blah: On a new Cashmere Mafia, I'm assuming a bunch of ladies act a fool. And one of them prefers women, I understand it. (TWoP's new video show, The Week Without Pity, will tell you all you need to know about this show.)
Making It Work: I think this season is developing into a pretty good one over on Project Runway, particularly challenge-wise. And tonight, it's all about denim, so that should be fun. I still think Christian is being played by Chris Kattan. (Bravo, 10 PM)
Poor Joe R: It's the season premiere of the Real World/Road Rules Challenge, a.k.a. The Bunim-Murray Home For The Severely Limited. (MTV, 10 PM)
