Run your day backwards and you end up with Battlestar Galactica. That'd work, right?
As if to answer my own persistent bitching, the SciFi Channel has decided to ramp up to this Friday's season premiere of Battlestar Galactica by running a marathon of the entire series so far, starting with today's Season 1 block. (SciFi, 8 AM)
Today's Will & Grace rerun ("Das Boob") guest stars former Gilmore Girls crankypants Scott Patterson, but I'll be tuning in purely for the scene where Grace's water bra pops a leak. (Lifetime, 11 AM)
Continuing its run-up to this weekend's Final Four, ESPN Classic is running old NCAA championship games. This afternoon bring is the 1997 game where Arizona finished blazing its trail through number one seeds by beating Kentucky for the title. If you hated North Carolina, Kansas, and Kentucky as much as I did back then, you'd have fond memories of this too. (ESPN Classic, 2 PM)
Seinfeld's final season got s lot of shit, and aside from its (justly maligned) finale, no episode got it worse than "The Betrayal," which was the episode than ran backwards. I was always in the minority that really liked that episode, from Elaine's adventures with the schnapps to Brenda Strong's reappearance as Sue Ellen Mischke. Anyway, give it a shot and see if it's not so bad. (TBS, 5:30 PM)
Tonight's How I Met Your Mother involves Barney's latest theory/scheme, which has something to do with a March Madness-style bracket tournament. The Fug Girls beat you to it, Barney, but I'll tune in anyway. (CBS, 8:30 PM)
Monday night's other show worth watching is The Hills. There are two episodes tonight -- the first one about Whiteny's career and Lauren/Brody drama that sounds pretty boring, but the 10:30 one involves Spencer's crazy, meth-head sister, so you know I'm there. (MTV, 10 PM)
