The big Terminator finale, a whole lotta TLC, and classic turns from both Shannen Doherty and Tori Spelling. Big day.
Again, I pause to question why E! is the correct network to look into the issue of famous serial killers, but when they say that THS Investigates, I'm sure they're not lying. I'm sure "investigates" means "investigates," and not "cobbles together old pictures and retreads of previously released information." (E!, 1 PM)
In news of potential awesomeness, consider the following blurb from today's Lifetime Movie Network offering, I Know What I Saw: "A woman (Beverley Mitchell) believes she has killed several people, but there is no evidence of the crimes." (Lifetime Movie Network, 2:30 PM)
BUT! In news of guaranteed awesomeness, Oxygen offers Mother, May I Sleep With Danger? this afternoon. DUDE. (Oxygen, 3 PM)
You know how sometimes, you feel like you saw the previews for a movie, and now the movie is on cable, and you feel like the theatrical release completely passed you by? It's not that you were going to see the movie, because you weren't, but then you feel like, "Wow, was I sleeping when that movie actually came out?" This is me and The Astronaut Farmer. (MoreMax, 4 PM)
Beverly Hills, 9021-OH BOY OH BOY it's time for Brenda to pretend to be French in order to romance Dean Cain! DEAN CAIN! Squeeee! "Allo, Reeeek." I can hardly wait. (SoapNet, 5 PM)
How I Met Your Mother repeats "Slapsgiving," including the welcome but possibly overhyped return of the Slap Bet. (CBS, 8 PM)
The surprisingly successful (to me, anyway) Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles wraps up its season with two hours of future robot goodness. We know a lot of you out there are loving this one; it's been an interesting blip of success in a pretty tough spring for scripted shows -- even new ones. (Fox, 8 PM)
You know what's a classic cable movie if you're sitting around tonight thinking, "There is totally nothing on"? Overboard, with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. For real, it's a winner. Find a discussion of it by TWoP's own Lauren S right here. (Oxygen, 8 PM)
New episodes of Little People, Big World tonight include the exploration of Matt's DUI trial. Dude! I had no idea there was this much scandal. (TLC, 8 PM)
Because you don't have enough to get reeeeeally wound up about today, Jon & Kate Plus 8 presents what seems to be a special of sorts, called Gosselins Go Skiing. Whee! (TLC, 9 PM)
Wrapping up TLC's big night, they're premiering the new show The Secret Life Of A Soccer Mom, which seems like the usual attempt to pull the triple deke where they show you how great a soccer mom's life seems, BUT then it turns out she gave up her big dream, BUT then it turns out that her life as a soccer mom is pretty great, BUT then her life as a soccer mom is ultimately enriched by having pursued her dream anyway. I'm just guessing. (TLC, 10 PM)
