Daily Picks For Tuesday, April 1, 2008

Basketball and The Bad Girls Club -- both spectator sports.
If you're looking to get into the mood to see Leatherheads this weekend, check out the movie whose style it seems to be cribbing, The Coen Brothers' The Hudsucker Proxy. (HBO2, 10 AM)

Today's Battlestar Galactica marathon takes on the first half of Season 2, which I actually watched on DVD over the weekend, and let me tell you: these episodes are wild to look at in hindsight. (SciFi, 8 AM)

In sports viewing, you can check out the 1999 NCAA basketball title game, where Connecticut upset the overwhelmingly favored Duke (ESPN Classic, 1 PM), then check out the NIT semi-finals, in which the University of Florida looks to follow up back-to-back NCAA titles with an NIT crown. (ESPN2, 7 PM)

If you care to see what was the very first girl's name Dr. Cox ever called J.D., the Scrubs pilot airs tonight on Comedy Central. (CC, 7:30 PM)

Tonight's American Idol features Dolly Parton showing up with her sparkling personality, awesome musical legacy, and scary new face. (FOX, 8 PM)

I really should have told my Mom that last night's Daily Show featured her Republican boyfriend, Senator Chuck Hagel. But I can tell her to watch the rerun today. (CC, 8 PM)

If the blurb for tonight's Bad Girls Club is any indication, it only took three episodes for the Bad Girls to break Andrea. She held out longer than anyone else usually does. (Oxygen, 10 PM)

Tonight's Office rerun ("Hot Girl") features the first of several performances by future Oscar nominee Amy Adams. (TBS, 10 PM)
