TGIF, people! What better way to kick off the weekend than by staying indoors and improving one's vocabulary? The 2008 Scripps National Spelling Bee: Final Rounds (ABC, 8PM) is on tonight, so we suggest you spend your lunch hour today boning up on Latin and Greek roots. Bonus drinking game suggestion -- every time a socially awkward and home-schooled child says, "Can you use it in a sentence?", drink!
Get it while it's hot! The CW recently cancelled this specimen of broadcast excellence on account of hating fun and poor people. Since we're primarily a social activism site, we urge you to enjoy WWE Friday Night SmackDown! (CW, 8PM) tonight with an unapologetic case of canned Miller High Life. You don't have to put on airs for us or The CW with bottled beer. That'll teach 'em.
People who devote their entire lives to having big hair and really white teeth are batshit fucking crazy. We know this. It's scientifically proven. E! highlights the sabotage, betrayal and tap costume thievery that goes on at some of these "scholarship conventions" tonight on Beauty Queens Gone Wrong: 15 Pageant Scandals (E! 8 PM)
Oh man, you're gonna die when you see what the Sontarans have been up to lately. And Martha and Donna? Yep. Facing peril! It may be a re-run, but the sooooooo cute David Tennant is reason enough to watch Doctor Who (Sci Fi, 9PM) any night.
In shows only bloggers watch and even then only to make fun of them news, Man vs. Wild: Namibia (Discovery, 10 PM) is on tonight. I'm not going to lie to you -- I have no idea where Namibia is, so I don't know if this will be a good episode or a bad one, but I can promise you there will be humans eating bugs for no reason whatsoever. Tune in and celebrate mental illness.
Goddammit, teens! When they're not shooting each other, blowing each other or chugging cough syrup to get high, apparently some of them like to dabble in guerrilla celeb photography. Tonight, 20/20 (ABC, 10 PM) investigates teens who hang out at The Ivy and sell photos of Heidi Montag and others nomming on cobb salads for a living. And I thought my high school job at In-N-Out Burger was glamorous.
