MTV's latest reality show gambit, High School Stories (MTV, 6:30 PM), melds the conceits of America's Funniest Home Videos, Unsolved Mysteries and Punk'd. Sounds like an Emmy no-brainer!

Wild Child: The Story of Feral Children (TLC, 7 PM) is gonna be one of those fascinating, depressing-ass specials that will make me wish I was raised by narwhals.

I'm not sure if you're aware of this or not, but British comedy is very resort '09. So get in on the trend early by watching this new rom-com Gavin & Stacey (BBC, 8:40 PM) and pat yourself on the back for being an early adopter when NBC inevitably co-opts it for an American version.

The new season of The Janice Dickinson's Modeling Agency (Oxygen, 10 PM) premieres tonight. Is it me or does she sort of look like a broom wearing fake eyelashes?

I guess we're all supposed to watch the Democratic National Convention (all major networks, 10 PM) like we were all supposed to watch the Olympics. And like the Olympics, I'll be trying to ignore it unless/until I read that something interesting happened the day after.
