Daily Picks For Tuesday, August 5, 2008

Let's leave the peanuts out of this.
Amy tells her mom she is preggers on The Secret Life of the American Teenager. (ABC Family, 8 PM). Which means a decent proportion of Molly Ringwald scenes, if you happen to be a Sixteen Candles/ Pretty in Pink/The Breakfast Club kind of fan .

I love Rock the Reception (TLC, 8:30 PM), and with this week's song choices of "Bust a Move" and "What I Like About You," it promises to be even more awesome than usual.

This week's America's Got Talent (NBC, 9 PM) contestants try to make it to theTop 40, and it's about damned time. I don't think I can handle another episode of the rejects. How many strange performances by Busty Hearts or Singing Fairies can we take?

So there may not be any earthquakes this week on Big Brother 10 (CBS, 9 PM) but who knows? It might still be worth watching.

This week's episode title for Food Detective (Food Network, 9 PM), "Double Dipping," strikes me as yucky. I'd prefer to not known what's lingering in the peanuts on the bar or the mints at the diner--sort of a don't ask, don't tell situation if you get my drift.

Tori & Dean-Home Sweet Hollywood (Oxygen, 10 PM) is new tonight! And Tori looks like she's ready to pop. We'll see if she makes it into her new house without giving birth on the doorstep first.
