House officially moves to Mondays tonight, where he can party with that other Fox crankypants Jack Bauer and make my Tuesday night viewing schedule a little less stressful, DVR tuner wise (seriously, why do they only have two tuners? I need like 9). Tonight's case is a man whose chronic and severe pain may just be psychological, and House actually identifies with a patient, because he too is crazy and in constant pain. So they deal with that.
The show turns 100! Alrighty, maybe it only seems like it has been on for 100 years. Instead, it has only been 100 episodes, of which about 30 were actually ones we liked. Still, this is a very special one, or so we're told, so if you are a regular fan, or a fair-weather one (not that we blame you) it might be one you want to watch.
We couldn't think of a more appropriate show to kick off our new Going Through Channels format -- which will spotlight one particularly noteworthy show each day -- than this one.
High school football season may be long over, but it is just getting started for Friday Night Lights fans who have been stuck in the dark without access to the DirecTV airings. The show makes its long-awaited (and some what surprising) return to NBC (I was bracing myself in case they found a way to pull the rug out from under us), and it is on Friday nights, which makes sense. And since it is airing in the winter, there're no stupid excuses about how the people this show would feasibly appeal to are out at real games or something. Basically, it is time for fans to put up or shut up. The show is good and it gets amazing critical buzz. Now it's time to see if it can get a few more butts in the bleachers. And all you girls (and guys) who are just watching for the beauty that is Tim Riggins better tell everyone you know to watch or DVR it.
