Since miniseries are technically TV too, I think it's OK to discuss The Last Templar, a two-night, four-hour EVENT! (that's how NBC.com describes it) which premieres tonight at 9. Obviously, it doesn't look like the greatest thing ever or anything, but the reasons it may be relevant to your interests/life is that it contains Jack Bristow, sometimes holding a gun, according to the trailers, Scott Foley being his perfect, adorable self and Omar Sharif, who is apparently still alive, and probably very happy to be in something better than 10,000 B.C. for the first time since 10,000 B.C. came out (because everything's better than 10,000 B.C.).
Mira Sorvino plays a "Manhattan archeologist," whatever the hell that means, who's diggin' up some ancient knights' tombs (I think?) in the desert and the Vatican's not wild about it, so they really give her the business. It's apparently a thriller, and it's based on a book, so, you know, good for it. I wish I were based on a book. Anyway, it's like if Indiana Jones was a girl and Short Round was Scott Foley and Jack Bristow was the hot blonde girl from Last Crusade. Or something.
Don't say we never did anything for you, miniseries.
Of course, there are other things on tonight, but none of them are football or Brothers & Sisters, so to hell with them, as far as I'm concerned. You can see what they are in our TV listings.
