My guess for the first one out is Jasmine. She's cute enough, but so far she's shown the personality of a cutely dressed doorknob. I guess it all depends on what she sings, and if she takes Kara's advice and sings a Rihanna song (does Kara get Rihanna royalties? I should investigate that.) Even though she's a solid singer, I am predicting Jasmine's ouster because the far worse singers in this competition have sob stories that America has connected to, and therefore will stick around for a while... much to my dismay.

Anyway, since there's two hours and 13 contestants we should be spared some of the annoying banter, and just get on to the business of the actual singing... or maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part. It's probably that. They always seem to find time for inane banter on this show.

Wednesday's show is going to have Kanye West, Kelly Clarkson and likely a ridiculous group sing-along, and, one can only hope, more stupid Ford commercials. What will they think of this year? I'm bracing myself for the horror.
