Realizing that I am way too old to watch this show, I still enjoy it. I do, however, have a not-so-healthy addiction to teen programming. Some people watch TLC shows, I'm still hooked on the N. But this ABC Family series is a bit better, or at least it doesn't take itself as seriously as so many of those heavy-handed teen shows about issues and whatnot. This one is just kids at college, drinking, having sex and joining sororities. It's mindless entertainment at best, but sometimes that's just what you need. After trying to wrap my head around Lost's manipulation of the space-time continuum, watching Cappie explain the merits of meat on a stick is refreshing.
This is the senior year for Casey and Cappie and co. Though Cappie could be on the six year plan, so maybe he'll be around a bit longer. Casey got back from her Elle Woodsian internship in D.C. and wants to get more serious (which has forced the song from the Legally Blonde musical into my head ... I am truly ashamed). Evan and Frannie are trying to take over the Greek world, but methinks that Evan is going to get more than a little bit tired of being Frannie's personal ATM machine. Rusty and Dale are living out their bromance in style, rooming together in an off-campus apartment. They are the most functionally dysfunctional couple on this show. And pretty much my favorite. And Ashleigh is debt-free and ruling the ZBZ's. They even added in Rebecca as a double agent... giving her character a point, instead of just making her the whiny bitch.
Again, not entirely necessary, but if you are looking for a relaxing way to spend an hour on Monday night and Gossip Girl is just a little too intense or highbrow, give this one a shot. It's on at 8 PM. If teen comedies aren't your cup of tea, check our week in preview for other alternatives.

I disagree - Greek is *entirely* necessary. I'm also way too old for this show, but it does make me nostalgic for my own days in the greek system. The details of this show are dead on, which makes it all the more entertaining. Plus? Beaver!
They also re-run it Monday nights at midnight, in case your DVR is otherwise occupied with House and Chuck at 8:00.
