Tonight's the second season finale of this show and to be honest with you, I never thought it would make it this long. But now that I've gotten past my initial outright hatred of it, I've kind of come to peace with this soapy medical drama. It's not good by any means (despite its strong cast), but it's not as horrible as it was when it started. You just have to let go of all reason or hope of things making sense or people behaving in a way that people in any sort of professional scenario would ever act, and it is totally watchable. It's sort of the Prison Break of medical shows. Totally preposterous, but I just can't look the other away.
It seems that Meghan Marshall's wife that crazy chick Katie who lost her baby and was totally in denial about it, even after like 100 ultrasounds, is back and somehow this puts Violet's life in danger. Jealousy, I guess. It is hard to tell from the photo if Violet is in labor (has she even been pregnant that long? Time passes so strangely on this show), but the press release says that she tries to make up her mind about the whole Sheldon and Pete situation. Which is fine, but at this point she should just wait until the kid is born and do a paternity test. IMHO. Also, if she is in labor, why is the entire Oceanside Wellness staff there? Frankly, if I was popping out a kid, I wouldn't want all of my co-workers staring at my crotch, but perhaps I'm just prudish that way.
In other storylines, it seems that maybe Naomi switched some embryos and two women are carrying the wrong babies. Professional! And she's still considering that other job, which after a screw up like this seems like a good idea. Not to mention that she'd get to work for Bill Buchanan, which seems like a no-brainer. Also, Dell's still dealing with his daughter/ex girlfriend in the most annoying and unnecessary storyline of the season, and Addison gets all wishy-washy about Noah (again!) when his wife goes into labor. Pretty much your standard convoluted episode.
If you value your brain cells too much and would like a better alternative, check out our week in preview.
