Monday, May 25, 2009: The Bachelorette First of all, we need to discuss last week's Bachelorette events. Well, one event in particular -- Jillian gave the foot fetish guy a rose because while we knew he was a foot fetish guy because of his endless interviews about his obsessive foot fetish, Jillian did not see that, and thus just thinks he's a regular non-foot fetish-havin' guy, which he is of course not. And look, I'm not saying it's wrong to have a foot fetish. That isn't my problem with him. We all have our things that would be considered weird by people. My problem with him is that he seems to be unaware that foot fetishes are generally not looked upon favorably by most people, or that one's fetishes are something you usually keep to yourself until you have established some semblance of trust with the person you're revealing them to, and not something you just go on and on about to an entire nation the first time you meet them. There is something wrong with him, is what I'm saying. Something that has very little to do with the actual foot fetish. It's something worse, people. Anyway, can't wait for Jillian to find out! Hope it happens tonight!

I agree with you completely. What I'm most concerned about is (are?) the one(s) that came on this show with girlfriends at home. To think that someone like that got a rose when someone like John H, who said his family was just like hers, is very disappointing to me. I hope she finds out fairly quickly and give(s) them the boot. Here's to hoping Jillian raises the show's score to 2-1,000.

I think poor old Jillian has bad taste in men. Thus her "love" of Jason and her selection of fine specimens like the guy who called her "Hot Tub Harris." What a prize. And, yeah, there seemed to be some nice, normalish guys in the eliminatees.

I think Jillian is smart. She picked up on Tanner P. right away, but it's probably good TV. Some guys with foot fettishes see the beauty in feet. Tanner just looks for flaws. And that's after knowing her a few hours. In a few months he probably won't like anything about her. He's a scratch. I hope Jillian falls in love. If she doesn't she will still have fun and make the show happen.

that he is a conservative' who doesn't want vmegrnoent interfering with a person choice to choose their own doctor yet he is advocating and praising his pension and health care reform bill'. He's worried about millionaires moving out of NJ if he raises their taxes (even though the data proves otherwise)? I was born and raised in NJ and moved back here after graduate school to serve the needs of NJ public school children and parents. If this bill passes with these health care restriction provisions, I'm moving to another state. Why live in such an expensive state with a Governor who has created a hostile environment for public sector workers and retirees. I can't remain in a state where I'm treated with disdain. This is another sign of Governor Christie's hate of public employees. I'm ashamed to be a NJ resident. By the way, there are many public sector employees, including my husband who has worked for the local vmegrnoent for the last eight years and previously worked for a large financial firm for 30 years, who understand the need to help save their pensions. What angers them is that they didn't cause this mess and the Governor has portrayed them as the cause of the pension problems. He has refused to acknowledge that it was the failure of the state to contribute to the pension plan and that the employees have voluntarily increased their contributes to help the pension plan. He has refused to call out the PRIVATE and NOT-FOR PROFIT INSURANCE COMPANIES who have increased the premium rates year after year. He has failed to acknowledge that many teachers and other public employees have taken pay freezes before he took office (I didn't have a raise two years between 2001 and 2008 and the other five years I received a 1% pay raise due to rising health care costs and the need to raise the minimal salary to attract young teachers during the boom years) instead convincing angry unemployed or underemployed NJ residents that it was GREEDY' teachers and public employees who created the problem.I don't mind sacrificing but don't rewrite history to victimize the victims. We are the only ones who have contributed to the pension plan for two out of the last 17 years. How dare he lie to the NJ public that we're to blame for the pension deficit!!! It is past Governors and Republican/Democratic legislators who caused this mess, remember the Teachers and Public Employees pension funds were 100% funded in 2000!!!

. firstamend07Your cemnomt is too lucid and reasonable for people in the legislature to understand. The underlying theme to just everything they do is to spend more money. Re-evaluting the millions upon millions that are spent annually is never seriously considered. There is very little that ever comes out of Trenton that doesn't cost more. The results are direct or indirect added expenses to the average tax payer. Sometimes they are sneaky and we get hit by increased real estate taxes or through higher service fees or even increased premiums from the private sector. The answers to many of the financial woes remain in front of us as they have for years.Cut the waste ( from too many employees to beyond reality perks and payouts, to redudant departments, etc), curb the corruption, reduce the inane mandates and cancel the prevailing wage.Have a few accountants crunch the numbers. Within a reasonable number of years the entire deficit could be paid off and at that point we could reduce taxes and lure people back. The result would be
