Of course, like pimping, being a man-whore isn't easy. Thomas Jane's character Ray only falls into it because his house burned down and his wife left him, and his main source of income is as a high school basketball coach, which is a step down from the major leagues. ... Wow, this sounds kind of like Eastbound and Down, if Kenny Powers was good-looking and dated classier women. Or Californication, if David Duchovny was only in it for the money. Or Secret Diary of a Call Girl, but from the man-whore side of things. Seriously, do HBO and Showtime only greenlight series where people are constantly banging each other because that's what gets brought to them, or because that's what they know people will pay to see?
