Sunday, July 26, 2009: Daisy of Love

I haven't written much about this show since it started, but that's mostly because the guys were sort of lame. Still, though, I kept watching. The show has weirdly had a lot of similarities to this season of The Bachelorette. Daisy got burned by Bret Michaels in the finals when he chose someone else after she clearly put out. There was a guy, Fox, who came to the show with a girlfriend, and only to try to get famous, and he bragged to the other guys about his gal pal, but lied to Daisy when confronted. Daisy was blinded by the songs "written" for her. There was another guy, London, who left the show for a lame reason and then basically begged to come back and has made it to the finale while other potential suitors have fallen by the wayside. The finale is in Hawaii. So many things, but you know, Daisy has more fistfights, making out and disgusting behavior, and so far, Jillian hasn't told any of the guys to get tattoos to impress her.

On tonight's finale, Daisy has to pick between 12-Pack, London and Flex. One gets kicked off early in the Hawaiian adventure, then she has to decide between the others after some final dates. Let's hope for Daisy's sake there's no erectile dysfunction involved. That seems like it would be a dealbreaker for this particular bachelorette. I'm not sure I care who she picks at this point -- 12-Pack's a self-involved muscly idiot, Flex is a self-involved muscly idiot, and London is a self-involved emotional idiot with bad hair. Her choice is pretty moot, so I hope she's happy, and that she does the opposite of whatever Riki Rachtman says, because it seems to upset him so when she ignores his sage advice. Much as I feel sorry for him, its kind of funny to see the frustration on his face. I think no one told him that these shows were fake. Sad.

Daisy of Love airs on VH1 at 9 PM, but you should probably do yourself a favor and watch the Doctor Who that's on BBC America instead. Your brain cells will thank you.
