The breakout hit of 2009 has one more episode following concierge doctor Hank Lawson as he treats the rich and famous in the Hamptons on Long Island. Not surprisingly, the show was renewed for a second season, because apparently we can't get enough of rich people and their problems, which explains The Hills, 90210 and Gossip Girl. I almost wish this show would cross over with GG, if only because I want to see somebody give Chuck Bass a tracheotomy with a pen.
This episode, the season finale, sees Hank treat a woman suffering from hallucinations, while Hank's assistant Divya has to deal with her family's engagement party and her arranged fiancé Raj. What's more, Hank's girlfriend Jill has apparently moved back in with her so-close-just-missed-it almost-ex-husband Charlie, and we can presume that Hank's brother Evan will be a complete A-hole at some point. No mention of what's going on with Boris, Hank's Russian patron with degenerative nerve disease, or Tucker, Hank's 17-year-old ex-patient with the druggie dad, but presumably Tucker will be as sarcastic as usual now that his dad's in rehab, and Boris will have turned into a half-man, half-shark from all of the shark DNA he's been injecting. It's the only way Campbell Scott's character could get more awesome.
Royal Pains airs tonight at 10/9C on USA. For more suggestions, check out our Week in Preview!
