BLOGS
Tonight there is something for everyone, no matter what their size.
First up, The Biggest Loser, where the contestants try desperately to lose a lot of unwanted pounds so that they can be thin, healthy and win some cash. The new season debuts tonight, with Daniel (the largest contestant ever, who was on last season), back again. But he's no longer the biggest contestant ever; there's a new titleholder -- Shay. She's starting off at 476 lbs, which means that Jillian and Bob have their work cut out for them this season, though supposedly they won't be split into teams with the trainers going head-to-head. Instead, they'll be working together to get their people in shape. Boring. Guess Bob was tired of losing all the time. Also, the contestants are solo this time around, though they will eventually get teamed up with strangers, but there are no families to contend with and no pre-existing couples at the outset.
On the other end of the spectrum is the finale of dating show More to Love, where the two last ladies are embraced by plus-sized bachelor Luke because of their curves. There's been a lot of emotion this season, as the ladies had to face confidence issues sporting bathing suits, or dancing, or dating or other things that their body image issues have prohibited them from doing in the past. There's been a whole lot of tears, but expect more as tonight Luke takes Malissa and Tali home to meet his parents and then decides which of the ladies has captured his heart. There's really no way that he doesn't pick Malissa, she seems the obvious choice, but I've given up trying to predict dating shows.
The Biggest Loser is on at 8 PM on NBC, while More to Love airs on Fox at 8 PM.

Darn! Same time as Big Brother finale...
I am so happy the new season has started!!! Yeah!!!!
I can so relate to Terry..I think that's the woman's name who past out and couldn't get up. I remember when I first found out I didn't have cartilage in my hips, on my wayto water arobics I fell and couldn't get up. I understand the jelly legs because I didn't have strength to help the people who helped me..help myself up. It was so embarrassing! I'd love to be on The Biggest Loser. I've finally gotten my hips replaced and I'm ready to start over. Good luck gang!
I am really happy to see Dan is back and given a second chance. Everyone has a heart renching storying that really makes the show so great. I plan to watch every episode as always. Everyone on the show is my hero. Good luck, I am home cheering you on!
I have watched ever episode since that show started. It's so motivating. Happy the new Season has started.
Wow...great show..I am cheering for Rebecca because we weigh the same but I am cheering for Shay because she needs a cheerleader. However, I am upset at Jillian's mouth. I almost had to watch the show in mute. She is so good...the verbal abuse is not needed. Much success to all...AND ME!!
I am so glad that this show is on, I am amazed of the transformations that people have went through. Its hard work I would like to be able to something from home to loose weight but there is so much stress in my life. I feel that its not worth trying because I gain every time I think about trying to better myself. I am rooting for you all everyone's a winner that is able to be on the show and looses something. Everyone Keep Up the Great Work!

I have been waiting for the new season to began. I love(d) your show and how it has helped people. I always felt it was for the whole family to watch. For kids to learn what not to do with their life and possibly change themselves before they become like so many of these adults on the program. But........what is up with all the cursing this year!? You can't get a person motivated without cussing at them! Come on Jillian & Bob clean up your mouth! (What, did the episode last year when Bob had a "fit" get higher ratings!) It's not about ratings it's supposed to be about CARING for another human being!
WOW...Just saw the show and all I can say is F**K!!!!How many more times can they say F**K this season?
I am so glad the show is on been checking every Tuesday to see is the show on were glad today to view my guide and seen it would be on tonight didn't get the last part about how much weight they loss this week had technical problems with the t.v. will be watching the show next week.

No one knows how difficult it is to move a huge body of weight but the person who wears it because each body has it's own set of capabilities. I have been a big fan of Jillian over the years, but I question the tone of voice and attitude she is using with Shay and others as though she is extremely angry within her own self and lashing out at the others. There are other ways and methods of motivating contestants to give 100 plus percent than reducing them to zero and screaming at them. Perhaps she needs time off to consider better ways of addressing people.
I was looking forward to seeing the new show this year - always enjoy watching how the trainers can help the contestants. Am really disappointed in the screaming and verbal thrashing - almost turned the channel several times. Contestants are carrying more weight along with baggage - screaming to now motivate them won't change that baggage. You can kick butt without such negativity and lack of tolerance to what they consider excuses.
I can barely stomach watching Julian! All of us were just disgusted with her! She actually made us turn the station a few times. It is just a shame that you support her in kicking people when they are down!!!
I was so looking forward to seeing the new show this season and was so very disappointed in the verbiage that was being used. I can deal with the "pushing" level of it but words can really set someone back. You are supposed to motivate not tear down. Is this really necessary? If it continues I won't watch it.
With the Biggest Loser show of which I am a fan of.... I was appauled at the foul language Jillian and Bob used when speaking to the contestants. It was absolutely horrid of the trainers to do that an there is not excuse for it. I was embarrassed for them.
