I would have been hard-pressed to completely hate a show that featured Ian Gomez (who I've loved since he was Javier), Dan Byrd (her adorable son, who was great on Aliens in America) and Busy Phillips (I always feel the need to support Freaks & Geeks alumni) and came from the mind of Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence, but I honestly expected to be watching it out of guilt. I still watch Private Practice with a healthy dose of shame and annoyance, totally out of allegiance for people that I normally adore, so I'm pleasantly surprised that I actually enjoy this.

Tonight Jules (Cox) gets a little too hard-partying and tries to hang with a much younger crowd. Sounds promising! Wonder if she'll meet up with any of her son's friends. That would be embarrassing.
