BLOGS
The Kandorian army plotline from this season of Smallville is so achingly dull that almost any one-off episode that deals with something else is welcome. Especially when the episode introduces new, ridiculous, twentysomething versions of established DC Comics characters. So after last week's "I am your father's clone" episode, I am actually excited to watch this week's, in which two superheroes try to help the Blur clean up Metropolis in their own, less-than-experienced way. Those two heroes? The Wonder Twins.
Originally introduced on the cartoon Super Friends, this brother-sister team had some weird powers. When they bumped fists, one could turn into any animal, and the other could turn into... any form of water. Ice, snow, a puddle, whatever. It looks like the pair have those same powers on Smallville, according to the teasers, with Jayna (Warehouse 13's Allison Scagliotti) turning into a bug and a purple-eyed puma, and Zan (7th Heaven's David Gallagher) possibly icing up a road and causing a car to skid. Whether they'll also be aliens and have a blue pet monkey named Gleek remains to be seen, but I sure as hell plan on tuning in to find out.
Smallville airs tonight at 8/7C on the CW. For more options, check out our Week in Preview! Get the latest recaplets, weecaps, blogs and more on-the-go via your smart phone with TWoP's mobile site.

Wow, an article on TWOP that criticizes Smallville. It must be Friday. (I think this season has been the best in years. I'm sure a million people on here will scream at me and tell me why I'm wrong. ::yawn:: )
