See, Abby is married to a guy named Nick, who we don't see much. But apparently not all is perfect in AbbyNick Junction, because when Billie asks them to be the godparents of her baby, they have a fight and split up. Which leads Abby to a night on the town, and into the arms of Davis, the stoner, a pairing that Billie needs to undo before Abby flushes her marriage down the toilet and possibly ends up in literal baby-daddy territory like her. But how can Billie possibly bring herself to care when an actual man, who is not the infant father of her child nor her commitment-phobic boss (Grant Show), expresses interest in her? Michael Rapaport plays a sportswriter who asks Billie out on a date, which is a nice touch, since Billie's a movie critic, and Rapaport has appeared in half of the movies released over the last decade. The man likes to work.
