It's the season finale of The Closer tonight, and there appears to trouble in paradise, if you can describe being married to Det. Brenda Johnson "paradise." Although she has survived the death of her cat, whom she dotes on, her husband Fritz the FBI agent has apparently become fed up with her complaining about her job. Gasp! Brenda is obsessed with her own cases, and doesn't care about anybody or anything else? How is this suddenly a problem now that they're married, and not in the many seasons they'd been dating?
Oh, and it seems like a cop is getting abused by her husband, and somebody ends up dead, so Mary McDonnell's Captain Raydor of Internal Affairs and J.K. Simon's Assistant Chief Pope are both all over her for not investigating, even though there was never a formal complaint. Luckily, Brenda has a new kitten she can go home to and hug at the end of the day.

Brenda is actually a Deputy Chief--it was a major bone of contention for her entrance into the LAPD. I know you guys don't watch the show, but come on. The character is the head of her own squad, that alone clued someone into the fact that she's not merely a detective.
The numerous errors due to bad or no fact checking in these entries is becoming ridiculous.
It's also J.K. Simmons, not Simons. ;)
Didn't the season just start for the Closer? How can this be the finale?
Nordland, The Closer's season starts in the summer, but over the past few seasons, they end in August and then bring the show back in December to finish the season. It's sort of a Christmas present for the fans. TNT also uses it to introduce other shows.
