Network aside, KN has legitimately taught me valuable lessons about restaurants. I've learned not to order something that only appears on the menu once (usually a deep-fried appetizer), because that probably means the product was not homemade and has been sitting in a freezer for a month or so. I've learned to generally stay away from places with enormous menus because not everything will be fresh. And, finally, I've learned that I should try to cook my own meals as often as possible because restaurants can be downright nasty.

I always get excited when Chef Ramsay visits a place I could potentially visit. As a Jersey girl, you can imagine my delight when I heard the Season Three premiere of Kitchen Nightmares was at Hot Potato Cafe, located in Philly. I looked up their menu and Yelp reviews, both of which are good reads. I have to wonder if they offered Philly Cheesesteak Spring Rolls pre or post Ramsay-makeover, because I cannot imagine such a delicious-sounding concoction coming from a failing restaurant.

The promo for this episode advertises that Chef Ramsay is "doing something he has never done before." We've already seen him curse, puke, insult chef's ethnicities and appearances, fire employees on the spot, give away his secret family recipes, and make countless people cry... what could be next?
