Jack is back, and taking Manhattan this time around. Fox kindly sent us the first four hours to devour early, and I can tell you one thing you might be wondering (that really isn't very spoilery) -- Jack's spazzmatoid disease from last season? Cured! And not even addressed at all in the premiere, which is a nice little pressie from the show. I'm perfectly content assuming the "experimental treatment" for the Terrormist disease worked great and that's that. But let's talk casting.
It's awesome this year! You've probably heard about Katee Sackhoff, Freddie Prinze Jr., the Slumdog Millionaire guy and Notes From the Underbelly and Jon Hamm's Jennifer Westfeldt joining, but, if you're an Alias and/or Heroes Season 2 fan (haha! Heroes Season 2 fan! I kid.), dreamy David Anders is also on board as a baddie. Oh, and Kim Bauer's husband from last season who ended up getting a job playing Boone's brother on Vampire Diaries is back for a minute or two as well. That roster reads like really bizarre and random fan fiction, but it's all true, folks.
Anyway, the premiere is a lot of fun (though Manhattan doesn't have nearly enough trees for Jack to hide in before screaming at and jumping on his prey), and I think setting up a very enjoyable season. I'm not sure if it's setting the stage for something mind-blowing enough to end the show on (if this even is the final year), but I didn't think Season 5 was going to be that great when Jack was disappointing Connie Britton and creeping around an airport for the first six hours, and look how awesome that season ended up being. Let's just watch some helicopters blow up and see how it goes for now.
24 returns with a two-hour premiere starting at 9 PM tonight on Fox (on account of Human Target premiering at 8), followed of course by another two hours tomorrow night from 8 to 10 PM.

As much as I love the addition of Katee Sackhoff there is nothing I am looking forward more than the direction they take with Agent Walker. I think she was the best part of last season.
Katee Sackhoff AND David Anders? I most certainly hope those two get scenes together. Love.
Completely agree with Grace. Let's get some scenes between Katee and David. Starbuck and Sark FTW!
