So Lifetime's little Los Angeles experiment is failed and over with, and now, with that foolishness vanquished, we get to watch Project Runway Season 7 set in New York where it belongs! Which means a lot of nice things both familiar and great, but most importantly it means promises of more Michael Kors on the judging panel, the lack of which was one of the biggest problems with last season.
They also address the lackluster casting issue of last season by claiming they've got the most memorable contestants in Runway history this season, and they evidence this in the promos by showing one very gay guy saying mildly funny things in a green polo shirt a lot. Now, I'm not saying he might not turn out to be extremely awesome and memorable, I'm just saying ain't no way this season is going to top Christian, Chris March and Rami of Season 4. That's just never going to happen. Sorry Runway Season 7.
But obviously, we're all still extremely excited for tonight's premiere. Welcome home, show! I hope that guy in the polo shirt memorables the crap out of this season!
Project Runway premieres at 10 PM tonight on Lifetime, followed by Models of the Runway, if your name is Angel Cohn (the only person I've ever heard of who watched that thing last year). But if you're not into reality greatness, consult our Week in Preview for other shows on tonight.

I watched MOTR as an extension of PR rather than on its own. I found some of the "behind the scenes" stuff informative, like how they had to get two stagehands to lift that one model in the heavy newspaper dress up onto the catwalk by her arms.
