Monday, February 22, 2010: The Bachelor

Monday, February 22, 2010: The Bachelor Ordinarily I'd gripe about a reality show that pauses before its finale for a reunion special, but these "Women Tell All" episodes usually end up being the best of the entire season. I mean, it's The Bachelor we're talking about; the bar is pretty low. Anyway, tonight! Rozlyn (the one who got kicked off the show for allegedly hooking up with a producer) will be confronted by all the other ladies for being such a tramp that she never even slept in her own bed, had the nerve to cuddle with this staffer right in front of them, and the gamechanger -- Ella's assertion that she quote "Had [her] butt up in the air" at some point. My pearls are clutched!

And that crazy craze Michelle who left of her own accord (because her mom wants her to have babies? Literally no one knows) will be back to defend her actions and hopefully sound even crazier than before. And I'm sure many, many insults will be slung at Vienna, either rightfully or not. Should be fun!

The Bachelor airs at 8 PM tonight on ABC, but if you don't know who Rozlyn, Michelle, or Vienna even are, you might as well stab Chris Harrison right in the heart by picking out something else to watch from our Week in Preview.

I'm sure there will be insults slung about Vienna, but not actually at her since the final two are never there. Which is kind of too bad, IMO. And I saw a preview of Michelle bringing the crazy! Can't wait.

I cannot wait to see Michelle again. The crazier the better.

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it'll do even better in those areas, but for now it's a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod's strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like 'Mixview' that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you're listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of "neighbors" will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune "Social" is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

I see you are having a lot of trouble with spam comments that I have on my blogs. But I don't delete most of it any more. I discovered when I got back from the weekend that there were tons of spam that had been made and I thought it would hurt my site. What I discovered is that even though I have "dofollow" links, the traffic to my blog and site were better than before. It seems the more comments I get, even junky ones, the better my blog does. So now I just delete the nonsense posts and other trashy posts and links and leave the rest.
