Kick off your Saturday night with an edited, primetime-appropriate version of the movie Wedding Crashers (CBS, 8 PM). I wonder if they had to cut out that boob montage in the beginning? Either way, it's on early enough for me to watch the whole movie and still be able go out for the night. Sold!
Premiering tonight is Survivors (BBC America, 8 PM), the apocalyptic drama that doesn't have dead bodies all over the roads of London.

The Amazing Race (CBS, 8 PM) returns for its 16th season debut. There's been a lot of Jorff talk 'round these parts, and since I don't watch Big Brother, I'm excited to meet the couple tonight. After all, now that Melissa is off of Biggest Loser, I have more room in my heart to hate contestants on reality game shows.
I was pretty bored by the pilot episode of How To Make It In America (HBO, 10 PM), but maybe that's because I live in Brooklyn and don't want to watch a show about characters who would live in my building and ride the subway with me, were they real. If you're interested in a less bitter review of the show, Mindy's review is spot-on. Despite my animosity, I'll probably keep watching, in hopes that Carles will eventually make fun of it on Hipster Runoff.
Premiering tonight is Peak Season: Vancouver (VH1, 11:30 PM), MTV Canada's hit docudrama. It's kind of cool that this show was taped at the same ski resort where the Olympic games are currently being held. Also, the late time slot probably means that the cast will be getting all nasty. Well played, VH1. Well played.

I'm not too keen on the Olympics, but I'm a bone-a fide fan of The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show (USA, 8 PM). Tonight is the opening night of the 134th ceremony, and I am so excited to half-watch every minute of it. Go dogs!
Tonight is Caribbean date night for the final three contestants on The Bachelor (ABC, 8 PM), and you know what that means: One of the ladies is getting an invite to the fantasy suite. Does anyone else have their own person nickname for the suite? I like to think of it as the "bang cave."
The wonderful Anthony Bourdain visits New Orleans on tonight's episode of No Reservations (Travel, 10 PM). What a great night for TV!

American Idol (Fox, 8 PM) is two hours long this evening, which leads to me assume that Jacob's recap will be twice as long! Everybody wins!
Watch the second season premiere of 16 and Pregnant (MTV, 10 PM), but not if you're then going to write vicious things on message boards that say, "Girls who get pregnant are sluts!" I'm looking at you, hundreds of commenters on MTV's Teen Mom video posts.

I hear that tonight's second season finale of Leverage (TNT, 10 PM) is one of the best in the series. Also, The episode title, "The Maltese Falcon Job," references one of the best movies of all time, so there you go.
This season of Shear Genius (Bravo, 10 PM) has been pretty great so far. I'm disappointed that Arzo got cut instead of Brig, but maybe being in the bottom three will make Brig realize that in order to stay in this competition, she needs to take off her stupid skates already and actually perform well. Then again, that could just be wishful thinking. We'll see.

Kat Von D's L.A. Ink (TLC, 10 PM) returns tonight with its third season winter premiere. I don't think this show is interesting enough to watch regularly, but I really like Kat. Have you ever seen that (super retouched) picture of her wearing tattoo concealer? Crazy.
There's a 90 minute episode of America's Best Dance Crew (MTV, 10 PM) on tonight. Whatever.
I feel like this season of Project Runway (Lifetime, 10 PM) has been entertaining, and now that all of the obviously weak contestants are out of the running, the competition is stiff. It's also nice to see that Ben was finally in the top three last week, because I think he's been unrated so far this season. I hope he doesn't prove me wrong tonight.

HBO has a promising new Friday night line-up starting this week. I'm pumped for the premiere of The Ricky Gervais Show (9 PM), not as excited but still looking forward to the second season of The Life & Times of Tim (9:30 PM), don't really care about Real Time with Bill Maher (10 PM), and think that Funny or Die Presents (11:59 PM) has the potential to be amazing. Cross you fingers, America!
If you don't get HBO, you are hereby forced to watch Cribs (CMT, 10 PM) tonight. You read that correctly, CMT has a version of that MTV show you used to watch a decade or so ago. Of the three celebrities featured in this episode, Melissa Peterman is by far my favorite (have you read my Singing Bee review?), but I assume most people prefer Alan Thicke or Jesse Metcalfe. Your loss!
