The Olympics are over, which means all our favorite shows can come out of their hiding places and start airing new episodes, free from fear of ice dancing and Bob Costas squishing their little non-athletic bug ratings. In HIMYM's case, it also means it's time for the Carrie Underwood episode. Because if there's anything this show loves more than soundstages that look nothing like NYC, it's stunt casting.
But I digress. Tonight's episode actually looks pretty good (I'm a big Carrie fan though, so probably not thinking clearly), with a fantasy sequence featuring a caveman version of Barney (a literal one, not the figurative one he already is), a classic Barney theory on why pharmaceutical reps are the hottest class of women in the world, and Carrie and Ted playing with a little teeny tiny baby pig in Ted's apartment, for some reason, which I sure hope the goat doesn't reappear to eat.
How I Met Your Mother airs on CBS tonight at 8, but if you're not into that, our Week in Preview knows of other fine programs to watch.
