This season's crop is a mixed bag. While I'm excited for Pam Anderson and Shannen Doherty (the drama!), there's also stupid Bachelor Jake (who will spend the entire season shoving Vienna in our faces) and then Kate Gosselin (who I've seen about enough of to last a lifetime). On the upside Samantha is gone! Woo-hoo! The far less irritating Brooke Burke is in her place, and since she actually knows what it is like to be on this show, there's a chance that she might ask intelligible questions backstage instead of the inane babbling that Samantha Harris used to muster up. I might actually even watch those interviews again now.

I already basically did my picks for who will win this season, so I won't rehash them here, but I am definitely thinking that Evan Lysacek, the Olympic figure skater, has got it in the bag. I wish they'd gotten Johnny Weir instead, but you know, I'll just settle for Samantha being gone.

The show kicks off tonight at 8 PM and will only monopolize two hours of your DVR this week as they are doing that kind thing where no one gets kicked off week one. That's nice for Buzz Aldrin.
