Tonight is the season 4 premiere of Friday Night Lights -- well, at least it is for those of us who didn't have the opportunity to watch it during its DirecTV run this past fall. When last we left this show (and you can watch the finale again here to refresh your memory) the town of Dillon was splitting its teenagers into two districts with the lion's share of talented football players staying at Dillon High, while a ragtag crew were being shipped off to East Dillon with Coach Taylor.
I already did a review of the premiere way back when, but I can't wait to see how the rest of the drama picks up. Watching Coach Taylor deal with his less than glamorous new digs, seeing Tami try and cope with balancing her job and her family life and watching Matt and J.D. butt heads, the whole season has so much potential. And this show, aside from the murder plotline, hasn't let me down yet.
The premiere airs tonight on NBC at 8 PM. Your choices are really between this and Smallville, which should be the easiest decision you'll make all week.

This show is so beautiful. I've already watched the entire season, and every single episode had me involved emotionally. FNL has incredible writing and fantastic actors! I can't wait for the next season, eventhough I know it will be the final.
I feel almost guilty saying this, but I haven't really been into FNL since its Season 2 finale.
@SST - That's a shame, because season 3 was far superior to season 2 even if it was only 13 episodes. If you have Netflix and would like to catch up, they're streaming seasons 1-3.
The premier was awesome. I can't wait for Coach Taylor to whip the boys into shape so they can kick West Dillon's butt.
@SST you really did miss out on a fine season last year
So its not different from the season on the 101 network?
