Sunday, May 16, 2010: Desperate Housewives

Gah! A lot of stuff is going down on Wisteria Lane. Half the street is in some kind of physical danger -- possibly all of it, depending on the size of the bomb Angie is building for Patrick. Theoretically, Patrick wants it to blow up some clearcutting loggers, but now that Angie's warned Gaby via the old "note-in-the-lasagna-eaten-out-of-the-trash-by-hungry-kids" trick, Nick is on his way (and possibly the police, because Gaby doesn't always follow instructions), and Patrick might have to set off the bomb to keep his entirely hostage-based family unit intact. ...Well, intact in spirit.

If the bomb does go off, maybe some shrapnel will hit Eddie the Strangler, and he won't be able to kill his prisoner, the very pregnant Lynette, who apparently also goes into labor this episode. Perhaps a wall will collapse on Sam, Bree's crazed stepson, before he can turn Andrew in to the police, steal Bree's business and/or stab Orson in the eyes. And maybe the bomb will destroy Susan and Mike's house, thereby handing them an insurance settlement that will allow them to pay off the IRS and build a new place. Of course, Angie's entire family will be dead, but we didn't expect them to hang around past this episode, anyway. If all that happened, the only way the episode could get any better would be if Creepy Dave showed up, and Mrs. McCluskey shot him.

The season finale of Desperate Housewives airs tonight at 9/8C on ABC. Catch up on your episodes here, then see the season's most outlandish moments.
