But it isn't just the gross hair getting chopped that makes this the second most watchable episode of the season, it's also the teary-eyed reactions of the friends and families when they see how foxy their sisters/brothers/daughters/sons/husbands/wives look now that they've lost some weight and gotten cleaned up by professionals. I'm a sucker for that. I will, however, have my finger on the fast-forward button if I see Bob or Jillian with giant Ziploc bags explaining how they can be used to store their clothing or something ridiculous like that, or how chewing Extra gum will add to their edgy appeal. I'll also be zipping through the performance by Ashanti. Because what does that have to do with weight loss?

The show starts at 8 PM on NBC, and hopefully the new looks will be revealed before 9 so that I can watch Lost in real time. Probably not though.
