As someone who is against the corporate control of weddings and societal pressure forced upon women to be "perfect brides," I have an inexplicable love for this damn show. Even though I would never pay more than a couple hundred bucks for virtually anything, when I watch Say Yes to the Dress, I'm suddenly scoffing at people who are only spending $3,000 on their wedding dress. Is there something wrong with me? Please withhold your judgment until you watch at least four episodes of this, and soon you'll be just as bad, calling cash-strapped mothers who say no to their daughters' insane requests to go over budget by thousands of dollars for unbelievably ugly mermaid dresses "bitches."
