It's the season premiere of Lie to Me, and the show keeps trying and trying its damnedest to get me to watch it again. Because it's not like the excellent cast, including Tim Roth and Mekhi Phifer and Kelli Williams, is enough. No, they need to do it with guest stars like Erika Christensen and James Marsters, who popped up last season. This time, the show is tempting me with Jason Dohring. That's right -- Jason Dohring of Veronica Mars and Moonlight fame. Damn you, Fox! Damn you to wherever people who lure in nerds to watch their TV shows go!
Amazingly, Dohring is still youthful enough to pass for a college student, since he's playing a student in Dr. Cal Lightman's (Roth) class. Lightman thinks that Dohring is a psychopath, and possibly a killer who's responsible for some missing girls, and Dohring doesn't seem to be denying it, or giving away any tells that reveal anything to the lie-detecting Lightman... you know, except for the psychopath stuff. "You're gonna lose this game," he says as he walks away form Lightman. Dude -- don't piss off Tim Roth. He will beat your ass.
Lie to Me airs tonight at 8/7C on Fox.

JASON DOHRING!!!! EEEEEE!!!
Forgive me my fangirl moment. I was going to watch Lie to Me anyway, just 'cause it's awesome, but now I'm excited. Logan as a psychopath? Is it too desperate to hope that it turns out he's not and Lightman offers him a job on the team? Pleaseeee?
Hellz yeah! Would love it if he became a regular on the show. He's awesome and deserves better than that god-awful Moonlight.
I'm still mourning the loss of Veronica Mars.
Jason Dohring needs to be in a cool show - yes, I can't get over Logan in Veronica Mars - such a great acting job. I could barely stomach Lie to Me. So stupid. Tim Roth and Mekhi Phifer are slumming it.
Thank you for identifying that actor for me! I always think of him as "that Dana Carvey looking guy." I liked him on Moonlight but I guess I'd better check out Veronica Mars now! Somehow I missed it during the first run...
