Whether you enjoyed the recent cinematic riff on the franchise or not, fans of the original A-Team series would be well served by checking out Leverage. You've got many of the same elements -- a band of criminals (although, in this case, not wrongfully accused) use their skills to help out the little people, many of whom are being pressured or placed in a corner by evil forces beyond their control. The A-Team never killed anyone, and neither do the Leverage crew -- in fact, they don't even use guns. They do, however, use their hacking, grifting and thieving skills to turn the tables on the bad guys. It results in a lot of fun role-playing, and occasionally some entertaining accents, and if it doesn't work out they send in the team's muscle to level the playing field. Who knows, maybe we'll get a so-so Leverage movie 20 years from now!
Anyway, this season starts off with Nate Ford (Timothy Hutton), the crew's Hannibal Smith, in prison after getting captured in last season's finale. Of course, his crew has a plan to get him out, but he ends up finding a wrongfully imprisoned client in jail, which means he needs to get the show's B.A. Baracus (Christian Kane) in there with him to act as protection. On the outside, he has support from a pair of Howlin' Mad Murdocks: the team's dorky-but-suave hacker (Aldis Hodge) and childlike-but-stern thief (Beth Wiesgraf), who still seem to have a casual romance going on. And, of course, the team's Faceman (Gina Bellman) is back for the season following her long absence, ready to lull the prison warden into a false sense of over-confidence. The episode is top-notch, and a fine place to start watching if you aren't already a 'Rager. That's right, I'm gonna try to make that happen. And you definitely need to check back next week to see real-life singer Kane performing country music and John "Pa Kent" Schneider" as the special guest. 'Rage-heads, assemble!
Leverage premieres tonight at 9/8C on TNT. For more info about returning summer shows, check out our handy guide!

looked nice
Ohh...I am soo looking forward to this! And I've waited sooo long for Parker & Hardisomn to finally happen! I'M psyched!
Yay! The most fun show on TV that no-one knows about is back! A-Team with a hint of Oceans' Eleven.
I love Christian Kane. and the can sing too! I love, love this show!
I just started the series from the beginning on Netflix (its all in the Instant Watch section) and I really like it. Definite Ocean's vibe, if you're into that kind of thing. Plus, I like seeing Coupling alum pretty much anywhere.
Why can't we keep shows like this on. The fear to start watching is that they always end!
I’ve read over this post and if I may just I want to recommend to you few attention-grabbing things or tips. Maybe we could discuss them.
