After a freshman season that spanned the better part of several centuries, Glee will finally air its first season finale tonight. As we all know, this terrible show is wonderful, and while many of you are undoubtedly looking forward to tonight's Regionals extravaganza, I am going to have to abstain. You see, this one, like the Madonna and Lady Gaga episodes, is a theme episode, and that theme is: Journey. Oh, hell no.
I hate Journey! It makes me feel like I'm at a wedding and that "YMCA" could happen any minute! It makes me feel like I'm at an '80s theme party from the '90s! It makes me feel like I'm being Room 23'd by VH1 Classic Others! So, I just can't. But you can. Quinn's going to have her baby and Nude Erections (oh, you hadn't noticed that all season?) will probably win Regionals despite being very obviously inferior to Vocal Adrenaline, funk notwithstanding. It also looks like Will and Emma may finally get their shit together and behave like adults, and maybe we'll even meet Rachel Berry's gay dads. Maybe Idina Menzel will pop up and sing the least theatrical song from Funny Girl in the name of theatricality again. So much, so much fun. If only "Faithfully" weren't going to be there to ruin everything (like always!), I'd watch it with the rest of you. Man, somebody really should make a website I could go to that would summarize what happened in the episode for me...
The Glee finale airs on Fox tonight at 9 PM. I would list other things that are on tonight, but I know you're going to watch Glee, you Journey-heads.
Find out why Fox might regret committing to a third season of Glee so soon.

So you're telling us to watch it, but it's gonna suck? Why would you skip the FINALE because you don't like the don't like the songs? Even if you hate Journey, it's sung by the Glee Cast, who rule. Plus the journey bits will probably all be in a five minute period, since they will be part of the one performance. Also, I doubt very much they'll win. I can see why you're writing on a television review site instead of an actual tv show. Hold the bitterness next time?
I watched approximately 2.5 episodes of this show before I quit. You put up with an entire season of this but JOURNEY is what's putting you over the edge? They sang Journey in the first episode.
Join me in Glee-Free Land. It much happier here.
Mindy, Mindy, Minday... you're missing out. *GRIN* Journey is a guilty pleasure that reminds me of junior high (and oddly enough, roller skating, hee). And I knew a sweet, talented boy named Ben who sang "Faithfully" for a high school show choir 'cabaret night.' I have nothing against Journey. (That said, I don't think they need to tribute an entire episode to them. What's with all the tribute episodes? Why can't they mix it up like they usually do?)
This is the kind of post that makes me roll my eyes. What was the point? That wasn't snark, just somebody's personal crap. Is there no one else in your office who could have written about this?
...isn't this the second season finale? i thought sectionals was the first season finale. I mean there was an entire season before this one
See, I love Journey and not so much Glee.
That was only the first half of the season before the break. This is the end of season one.
Sectionals was the mid-season finale. We're still in season one.
I'm glad somebody finally pointed out the "nude erections" everytime they say new directions on the show that's all I can think of, it drives me crazy! Lol I do agree with everyone though, was there not someone in the office who likes the show that could of written this?
Oh. thanks for the clarification
so glee will be returning?on kiis fm they were talking like it was over
Wow. First, it's not the theme of the episode. They merely sing a Journey medley (which is one of their most awesome performances, right up there with "Somebody to Love"), and Rachel sings the hell out of "Faithfully."
So please, can we have someone less bitter and self-indulgent write these kind of articles next time? Or you know, someone who actually likes the topic they're writing about? Because honestly, it's kinda stupid to pan an episode of show you claim to love without having seen it because you personally don't like the band that they'll cover.
