While I'll be glued to my couch due to overindulging in potato salad, I will still make sure that the remote is close enough to change the channel to watch what is likely to be a riveting episode of The Bachelorette. Kidding. But I am DVRing it because I just can't resist watching Ali and her merry band of hopefully no longer oiled up men travel to Portugal and tarnish all their historical landmarks by making out with the fellas in all kinds of inappropriate places.
Also, while I hate that I can't look away, I'm dying to see the Jake and Vienna faceoff that is going to be shoehorned into this episode somewhere. I want to stop, but I just can't. I hate them both and wish they'd go far, far away... and yet... I can't resist. I know, I am part of the problem, not the solution. But I blame ABC. They keep feeding this crazy addiction that I have.
The episode airs tonight at 8 PM... though I'm guessing the Jake/Vienna stuff probably won't begin until well into the 9 PM hour.

Maybe you guys can help me out here . . . what is the appeal of this franchise? Barely anybody who gets engaged winds up tying the knot, and it seems to be a breeding ground for meatheads and morons. I'm still pissed off that ABC dumped The Mole for anti-intellectual fare like this show and Wipeout, but I feel that the reality landscape would probably be better off without The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. Better to watch something irrelevant like Last Comic Standing than this crap.
Sorry for the long-winded rant. At least I'm not a spambot, right?
There is no more unappealing show than this, Jason/Lantern7. Idiot "romantics" and stroke victims dig it, but that's about it. What gets me is that this website, back when it was run by witty pop-culture vultures, used to skewer tripe like this show. Now we utter morons like Angel Cohn singing its praises. Angel wants to be the next "Watch With Kristen," but unfortunately, she's got even less taste than Kristen has.
Um, Jason/Lantern, I've some news for you; Wipeout is great. Thank you, and good day.
