Of course, the main character in Big Lake is nowhere near as famous as the dude who played Frasier. Upright Citizens Brigade performer Chris Gethard (pronounced "geth-ard") plays the young funds manager who loses millions, gets fired and has to move back in with his angry investor father, pill-popping mother and a little brother who runs a criminal empire. Right now, the formulaic jokes in the commercials (and Gethard's earnest delivery) are leaving me a little cold, but after The Other Guys, I'm willing to give the show a couple of episodes to impress me with some non-sequitur comedy. And I'm hoping Gethard will rise to the level of his co-stars, because he's the keystone in an otherwise hysterical group, and skinny Horatio Sanz doesn't pull as much weight as he used to.
