Perhaps the better move would have been to make the show a super-powered version of their Emmy award-winning comedy Modern Family? After all, we're already getting a sense of deja vu seeing Michael Chiklis play the strong member of a quartet of heroes, and all he needs is some rocky skin or a red leotard for this show to enter lawsuit territory. Instead, having Ty Burrell shooting laser beams out of his eyes and Ed O'Neill flip over cars might have been all it took to turn Modern Family into a ratings juggernaut. But Vic Mackey as a family guy who can jump far? That's sketchy territory.
