Just when I thought that I couldn't love this show any more than I already did, they went and added Scott Porter to the cast. Between one of my favorite Friday Night Lights alums being a new investigator who seems to get under Kalinda's skin and Gilmore Girls' Matt Czuchry getting to play a real rival to Alicia this season, I'm a very happy camper. Throw in Alan Cumming getting to manipulate people to make Chris Noth's politician husband not look like a total asshole and the very charming Michael Ealy (yes, I am the person who watched Sleeper Cell) as the head of the recently merged law firm, and this season might even be better than the really solid first season.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta is back, and they have trimmed some of the boring fat! Lisa Wu Hartwell, who was too sane for this mess, is gone from the show, and now we have two new ladies to watch yell at each other like rabid teenagers every Monday: Cynthia, a model who only got married because her boyfriend gave her an ultimatum, and Phaedra, who is an attorney who talks about being an attorney incessantly and is pregnant and hilariously awesome. Phaedra's going to be fun. Cynthia, I'm not sure about. And we do have to take into consideration the fact that Kandi's still bringing the boring all season.
I haven't regularly watched any of the Law & Order franchises in years, but this one, which is airing on BBC America, has my interest totally piqued. The main reason? One Mr. Lee Adama is the headliner of this import. That's right, Jamie Bamber of Battlestar Galactica fame (see, some BSG alums can get decent gigs) is on the law side of things as Det. Sergeant Matt Devlin.
What say we kick off the month of societally sanctioned fear with an episode of Supernatural? C'mon, it has to be scarier than last week's premiere, and the teaser trailer has blood and babies and stuff in it. In fact, the episode is all about babies! Which means big, bad, hunter Sam has to call in someone with some child-raising experiences. Looks like Dean's coming out of retirement! Which is good, because otherwise we would have no reason to watch, really.
