Friday, Nov. 5, 2010: The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret

There will never be an Arrested Development movie. So, just stop thinking about it. If you want to see a mini-reunion of the actors, you'll have to content yourself with David Cross and Will Arnett on Running Wilde, although we wouldn't exactly recommend it. What we would recommend is The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret on IFC. The six-part mini-series stars David Cross and features Arnett prominently, and the final episode airs tonight as part of a mini-marathon. Convenient!

Todd Margaret (Cross) is a temp worker who bluffs his way into getting placed in charge of the launch of a new energy drink in England, despite lacking the skill set for the job. So the six episodes chronicle his various bungling attempts to gain his product a foothold in England with the help of his assistant (David Harrison, The Inbetweeners), while simultaneously trying to get his foot in the door with an English co-worker he fancies (Sharon Horgan, Free Agents). Arnett plays his maniacal boss who follows him overseas to supervise the project, and Amber Tamblyn and Janeane Garofalo also make appearances. As if that wasn't good enough, tonight's complete-series marathon wraps up with an episode of -- wouldn't ya know it? -- Arrested Development. It's kismet.

The complete run of Todd Margaret airs tonight starting at 7:35 PM on IFC, with the final episode airing at 10 PM. The marathon airs opposite new eps of Supernanny, Smallville, Medium, School Pride, CSI: NY, The Good Guys, Blue Bloods, Supernatural, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Law & Order: UK. (DVR full? It airs again starting at 2 AM.) Get a taste below.
