This isn't exactly the most original crime-fighting procedural on TV, but it definitely is fun. It's got a lot of what I used to like about Bones before that show took a turn for the worst. Anyway, for the time being, this one is still entertaining and totally quirky. Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic make an engaging team. And it isn't nearly as dark as the majority of the CSI/Law & Orders of the world.
Tonight's episode takes the writer/detective underground into the old passageways and tunnels beneath New York. Somehow this inspires Castle to maybe open a bar. That would be the perfect thing for him. New hangout. Plus, I see franchise opportunities!
The episode airs tonight at 10 PM, against the also addictive procedural Hawaii Five-0. But... maybe I'm just a sucker for scenic shots of Hawaii.

Right there with you -- love me some Castle AND some Hawaii 5-0. Add in Chuck and Gossip Girl, and Monday may actually be my favorite TV night of the week at this point.
I love Castle so much! It may not be the most brainy show, and the mysteries are pretty telegraphed. But, you don't watch it for the murder mysteries. You watch it for the characters. So, I'm right there with you as well. It's my popcorn show--something that just makes you feel good at the end of a long day.
Unfortunately, NBC mysteriously self-destructed with a stupid floor show instead of Chuck tonight. They have a genius for betraying their writers and actors -- after discovering such good ones, too. I agree that Hawaii-5-O is pretty addicting.
