Tonight's episode was penned by EP Steven Moffat, so it is likely to have some thrills and chills. It's being billed as his "most Christmassy adventure yet" and it is inspired by the classic Dickens tale A Christmas Carol. If that's not enough to convince you, it also has Michael Gambon (who you Muggles and Wizards probably know best as Dumbledore). And for you diehard Whovians down in Whoville, there's a daylong marathon leading up to the episode and after that is the premiere of the Doctor Who Prom concert. Your hearts may even grow three sizes today.

The special airs tonight at 9 PM on BBC America. The marathon starts at midnight on December 24th.
