Of course, in order for a show like this to work, the couple need to have conflict brought in from outside their relationship. Thus, we get to their wacky-but-lovable best friends (Judy Greer and Tyler Labine) who are forced to become friends themselves. While clearly not high-concept, Mad Love could easily make CBS a bit more watchable on Mondays. The friend characters might be able to develop actual personalities outside of insulting each other and even become interesting on their own. No matter what though, the inoffensive charm of Biggs and the lovable next-door sweetness Chalke brings to every performance will make sure to snare at least some of the How I Met Your Mother crowd.
