Wednesday, February 2, 2011: The E! True Hollywood Story: Kate Gosselin

I know, it seems like Kate Gosselin had gone away there for awhile. But, as usual, people like her fade into obscurity over E!'s dead body, so here we are, with a brand new primetime E! True Hollywood Story about her. Did you know that Kate's life has not been that happy in recent years? Well, if you didn't, E! is going to clue you in by dragging out every last detail about it tonight.

Those details include a former nanny who claims to have had an affair with Jon, and a bunch of talking heads from publications that have paid people to spy on Kate so they can make money off of what they find. This all seems like rehash -- it really wasn't possible to not hear every last gossip blast about the Gosselin divorce when it was happening -- but I'm not really the target audience for these things, I guess.

The E! True Hollywood Story: Kate Gosselin airs on E! tonight at 10 PM, opposite Off the Map (ABC), Top Chef (Bravo), I Used to Be Fat (MTV) and Hot in Cleveland (TV Land).

I agree. Yuck.
Why don't they do True Stories about people who actually matter, not about famewhore child abusers?

Just because they read the article doesn't mean they're interested in watching the special. I read the article and I can't think of any reason I'd actually watch this special.

How about this? How about the "True Hollywood Stories" be about actual people in Hollywood? You know those people - the actors, the writers, the directors who actually provide entertainment to the masses.

And no - appearing on "Dancing With the Stars" - especially when you are not a star - and no one in a reality series is a star (evidently the definition of what makes a "Star" these days needs refining) - does not mean you've made it in "Hollywood".

As far as E! goes - there's only one show on there that I would save - the only show that's worth anything on that entire "network" is "The Soup" - the rest of E's programming - and the knuckleheads in those shows - should all be made to watch re-runs of all of the shows with the no talent Kardashians in thme while they are projected on Kim's huge ass.

I watched Kate's THS and I loved it. I think she is a lot better of a parent then Jon ever will be. I have been a fan of their family's show ever since season 1 and have watched them grow in front of the cameras. Their family has so many experiences because of TLC, and started the show in the beginning only because they could not afford all the expenses of their family. All Kate wants is a better life for her family and herself and I don't think you can criticize her in the way of saying she is a child abuser without knowing specific circumstances, and by reading the tabloids.
