The Real World heads back to Las Vegas in its season premiere tonight, with the cream of the crop of innocent twentysomethings in attendance, from Southern gentleman Dustin to soccer champ Heather to good, simple Catholic boy Michael. We foresee plenty of sex, gambling, drugs and copious amounts of alcohol. Should we expect anything else? This is the kind of reality television that would make Showgirls look PG-13.
This particular season has a lot to live up to, as it will no doubt be compared to the previous The Real World: Las Vegas. Can there ever be another threesome like Trishelle, Steven and Brynn or a pregnancy scare like Trishelle's? No matter what, we can be sure to expect high drama, high sex drives and low expectations.
The Real World (premiere) airs tonight at 10PM on MTV, opposite new episodes of Top Chef: All-Stars (Bravo), Off the Map (ABC) and Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior (CBS).

Three things:
1. I don't think that was a threesome. Steven and Trishelle got into it, and I reckon Brynn just threw herself in. Happily, Brynn has turned out to be at least halfway normal. Ditto with Arissa, though we needed a "reunion season" to find that out for sure.
2. Take out "Southern gentleman" for Dustin. Put in "Gay porn star." Okay, the "gay" thing doesn't really matter, but the "porn" part shows where BMP is heading this year.
3. I'm not really caring about this season, especially since it's in Las Vegas. I'll be out tonight, and I'll try to watch a repeat some other time.
