It's Divas Live gone country! Tonight, CBS will honor The Judds, Miranda Lambert, Loretta Lynn, Martina McBride, Jennifer Nettles, Reba, Carrie Underwood and some other artists (including the shamefully underrated Ashley Monroe) for being ladies who exist within the genre of country music. Sure, why not?
The event is really more of a two-hour concert than an awards ceremony, and because they're always nosing their way into everything, there will be some men in the house performing as well. Jason Aldean, Vince Gill (ew -- what?) and Blake Shelton will be singing duets with some of the honorees, and it's a whole big night of Southern girl power... and politely sharing one's spotlight with dudes. Yee-haw!
I won't be re-typing the ridiculously long name of this special, but it airs on CBS tonight at 9 PM, opposite Fringe (Fox), Supernatural (The CW), Talking Funny (HBO) and Royal Wedding of a Lifetime (Lifetime -- they are hilarious over there).
